The Service Technician will be responsible for opening/closing, servicing and ongoing maintenance of Client's aquatic facilities. Additional responsibilities include: providing direction/leadership, and maintaining accurate pool records. Position requires at least one (1), or more years of hands-on experience and working knowledge of all areas related to; technical service, repair and maintenance. The Service Technician must maintain a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate polite, professional behavior at all times. Must be willing to travel and stay overnight at job sites periodically. Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Perform difficult cleaning services independently
  • Equipment installation and maintenance
  • Basic pool services – cleanings, chemical checks, leak detection and repairs, equipment diagnostics, etc.
  • Assist with Special Projects as needed
  • Pool and spa equipment Service/Repairs/Installations
  • Seasonal pool Openings and Closings
  • Serve as Crew Chief when the most senior on a job
  • Be able to spot sales opportunities in the field
  • Perform accurate estimates in the field for standard parts and services
  • Communicate with the customer regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades or other customer needs
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
  • Adhere to company and department policies/procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain high level of organization to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

 Problem-Solving Activities:

  1. Ability to diagnose and repair pool equipment
  2. Ability to test, diagnose and balance water chemistry
  3. Ability to make independent decisions while acting in the best interest of the company as well as the customers

  3. Detail oriented
  4. Ability to mentor/lead less skilled technicians/valets
  5. Technical/mechanical skills – HVAC or related industry

  8. Ability to clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades or other customer needs
