Key Roles and Responsibilities:

This individual must analyze hiring needs and not only fill positions, but guide each new hire toward long-term success within the organization. The coach will be tasked with the management of each aspect in attracting, retaining, and building talent. This person will need to constantly assess recruitment gaps and formulate ideas for creative sourcing.

The employment coach will provide an ongoing, continuous process of communicating and clarifying job responsibilities, priorities, performance expectations, and development planning that optimize an individual's performance and aligns with organizational strategic goals. This individual will proactively anticipate the needs of different teams and be able to meet those needs smoothly and effectively.

During the beginning of the hiring process, the team member and coach will mutually develop goals that align directly with the goals of the team. A development plan that supports goal completion will also be developed and agreed upon. The coach will be held accountable for developing and building relationships with teams. The position will involve implementing new policies, procedures, training plans, and designing strategies for motivating aquatic team members.

Throughout the regular season, the team member and coach will discuss progress toward goal completion and provide any support that may be needed. Once a team member has been recruited, the coach will need to monitor key measures of team member satisfaction such as having access to the resources they need and feeling part of the workplace culture. Reducing team turnover will need to be a priority.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum of 3 years full-cycle recruiting leadership experience

Experienced in Applicant Tracking Systems, including report creation and MS Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized self-starter who requires minimal supervision and who excels in a team environment

Strong project management, prioritization, and implementation skills, with ability to meet deadlines

Ability to implement recruitment objectives and identify opportunities to provide customer service excellence

Ability to interview candidates with a high degree of professionalism, comfort, and confidence

Ability to work with staff at all levels within the organization as well as communicate with external vendors regarding recruitment functions such as reference checks, job postings, and employment agencies for staffing
